Aeron offers two main types of FRP gratings:
- Pultruded Gratings: Manufactured by pulling continuous fiberglass strands through a resin bath and then a heated die, pultruded gratings feature a strong grid-like pattern. Available in a variety of bar widths, spacing configurations, and overall panel sizes, they offer exceptional strength and can be customized for heavy load applications.
- Molded Gratings: Created through a molding process, molded gratings are single, solid pieces with a uniform lattice design. Available in standard sizes and load capacities, they provide a cost-effective solution for pedestrian and light vehicle traffic areas.
Both FRP grating options feature a gritted or textured surface for superior slip resistance, even in wet or oily conditions. Aeron offers a standard safety yellow color for enhanced visibility, with custom colors available upon request. The gratings incorporate drainage channels to prevent water accumulation and minimize the risk of slip hazards.
Features:
- Corrosion Resistance: Immune to rust, rot, and chemical degradation, ensuring a long service life with minimal maintenance, even in harsh environments.
- Unmatched Strength: Made from pultruded fiberglass profiles, Aeron FRP Gratings deliver exceptional load-bearing capacity to support heavy foot traffic, machinery, and material handling equipment.
- Bidirectional Slip Resistance: Gritted or textured surfaces provide excellent slip resistance in both the longitudinal and transverse directions, maximizing safety in all walking directions.
- Fire Retardant Options: Available in fire-retardant grades for enhanced safety in specific applications.
- Electrical Insulation: Non-conductive properties ensure safety around electrical equipment.
- Lightweight Design: Significantly lighter than metal gratings, simplifying handling, installation, and reducing overall project weight.
- Easy Maintenance: The open design allows for easy cleaning and drainage, minimizing the risk of slips and falls due to accumulated debris.
- Dimensional Stability: Maintains its shape and size over time, even under challenging conditions.
Applications:
- Industrial Facilities: Walkways, platforms, mezzanines, trench covers, machine guarding
- Commercial Buildings: Fire escapes, stair treads, catwalks, mezzanines
- Marine Environments: Boat decks, docks, walkways, offshore platforms
- Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants: Walkways, platforms, trench covers, equipment access areas
- Oil & Gas Refineries: Corrosion-resistant walkways, platforms, trench covers
- Chemical Processing Plants: Chemical-resistant walkways, platforms, trench covers
